I had the pleasure of growing up in the Ottawa Valley in the small and beautiful town of Perth. I moved to Ottawa to attain my post-secondary education and have never left. I completed my education in Computer Engineering Technology in 2001, hung my diploma on the wall, and then went into real estate.
My wife and I were married in 2006 in her hometown of Pictou, Nova Scotia. We have two daughters: Olivia, born in 2008, and Sadie, born in 2012.
I have worked for RE/MAX for many years and in just about every capacity available to me, including as a receptionist, assistant, team member, and individual agent. This has given me the unique ability to see how the real estate industry works from the ground up and allows me to understand every facet of the business. I proudly look back on my achievements with RE/MAX, including acheiving sales awards every year since I joined, including my 100% award in 2009 and every year since then!
I am active in the political side of real estate and have sat on many committees at the Ottawa Real Estate Board, including the MLS Committee, Government Relations Committee, and the Golf Charity Committee. As well, I was a member of a national committee for the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA): the Young Members Task Force, which included young REALTORS® representing cities all across Canada and was tasked with reporting on the views of young REALTORS® in Canada to the senior members at CREA.
